Anyway - by Mother Teresa

October 21st, 2006 by happee

People are unreasonable, illogical and self-centered.
Love them anyway.

If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.
Do good anyway.

If you are successful, you win false friends and true enemies.
Succeed anyway.

The good you do today will be forgotten tomorrow.
Do good anyway.

Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable.
Be honest and frank anyway.

What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight.
Build anyway.

People really need help but may attack you if you help them.
Help people anyway.

Give the world the best you have and you’ll get kicked in the teeth.
Give the world the best you’ve got anyway.

Panalangin - Lyrics

October 21st, 2006 by happee

Kapag aking sabihing minamahal kita

Kapag aking sabihing minamahal kita

Panalangin ko sa habang buhay
Makapiling ka Makasama ka
Yan ang panalangin ko

At hindi papayag ang pusong ito
Mawala ka sa ‘king piling
Mahal ko iyong dinggin

Panalangin ko sa habang buhay
Makapiling ka Makasama ka
Yan ang panalangin ko

At hindi papayag ang pusong ito
Mawala ka sa ‘king piling
Mahal ko iyong dinggin

Panalangin ko sa habang buhay
Makapiling ka Makasama ka
Yan ang panalangin ko

Blessings Usually Come In Disguise

June 30th, 2006 by happee

The only survivor of a shipwreck washed up on a small, uninhabited island. He prayed feverishly for God to rescue him, and every day he scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming.

Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little hut out of driftwood to protect him from the elements and to store his few possessions.

But then one day, after scavenging for food, he arrived home to find his little hut in flames, with the smoke rolling up to the sky.

The worst had happened; everything was lost.

He was stung with grief and anger.

"God, how could you do this to me!" he cried.

Early the next day, however, he was awakened by the sound of a ship that was approaching the island. It had come to rescue him.

"How did you know I was here?" asked the weary man of his rescuers.

"We saw your smoke signal," they replied.

Never forget blessings do come in disguise!!

The Earth, The Sun, The Rain

June 30th, 2006 by happee

When I was lost, I could not see
All the beauty and wonder, wrapping around me.
I was alone, dreaming of you
Oh I could not imagine this dream coming true.
So much joy now, in all that I touch
You make me feel everything so much.

Chorus
I will love you for the earth at my feet.
I will love you for the sun in the sky.
I will love you for the falling rain, oh oh oh oh
I will love you for the heart that could break.
I will love you for the dreams that we share.
I will love you for the falling rain, oh oh oh oh
Face in the wind, tears from my eyes
Baby, where have you been?
But I was, always, waiting for you. (oh baby)
To pull back the door.
To take me by the hand and lead me through.
This whole world was a stranger to me. (stranger to me)
Now you have opened my heart to everything.
(Repeat Chorus)

Spoken
Like a whisper in a dream,
you walk softly into my life
with love and sweet emotion
and as I gaze into your eyes
I see the beauty that God has created.
And I love you girl,
Now and Forever…

Repeat Chorus
Oh, yeah, baby…hey,hey,baby,nah nah nah
Repeat Chorus
Oh Oh Oh, baby, yeah

The Secrets of Heaven and Hell

June 30th, 2006 by happee

The old monk sat by the side of the road. With his eyes closed, his legs crossed and his hands folded in his lap, he sat. In deep meditation, he sat.

Suddenly his zazen was interrupted by the harsh and demanding voice of a samurai warrior. "Old man! Teach me about heaven and hell!"

At first, as though he had not heard, there was no perceptible response from the monk. But gradually he began to open his eyes, the faintest hint of a smile playing around the corners of his mouth as the samurai stood there, waiting impatiently, growing more and more agitated with each passing second.

"You wish to know the secrets of heaven and hell?" replied the monk at last. "You who are so unkempt. You whose hands and feet are covered with dirt. You whose hair is uncombed, whose breath is foul, whose sword is all rusty and neglected. You who are ugly and whose mother dresses you funny. You would ask me of heaven and hell?"

The samurai uttered a vile curse. He drew his sword and raised it high above his head. His face turned to crimson and the veins on his neck stood out in bold relief as he prepared to sever the monk’s head from its shoulders.

"That is hell," said the old monk gently, just as the sword began its descent. In that fraction of a second, the samurai was overcome with amazement, awe, compassion and love for this gentle being who had dared to risk his very life to give him such a teaching. He stopped his sword in mid-flight and his eyes filled with grateful tears.

"And that," said the monk, "is heaven."

1 Dollar and 100 Dollar Bill

June 30th, 2006 by happee

One day, a one dollar bill and a hundred dollar bill got folded together and began talking about their life experiences.

The hundred dollar bill began to brag:

"I’ve had a great life," he said. "I’ve been to all the big hotels, Donald Trump himself used me at his casino, I’ve been in the wallets of Fortune 500 board members, I’ve flown from one end of the country to the other! I’ve even been in the wallet of two Presidents of the United States, and once when Princess Diana visited the US, she used me to buy a packet of gum."

In awe, the dollar humbly responded, "Gee, nothing like that has ever happened to me, …but I have been to church a lot!"

Knocks Me Off My Feet

June 30th, 2006 by happee

I see us in the park
Strolling the summer days of imaginings in my head
And words from our hearts
Told only to the wind felt even without being said
I don’t want to bore you with my trouble
But there’s sumptin’ bout your love
That makes me weak and
Knocks me off my feet

There’s supmtin’ bout your love
That makes me weak and
Knocks me off my feet
Knocks me off my feet

I don’t want to bore you with it
Oh but I love you, I love you, I love you
I don’t want to bore you with it
Oh but I love you, I love you, I love you
More and more

We lay beneath the stars
Under a lovers tree that’s seen through the eyes of my mind
I reach out for the part
Of me that lives in you that only our two hearts can find
But I don’t want to bore you with my trouble
But there’s sumptin’ bout your love
That makes me weak and
Knocks me off my feet

There’s sumptin’ bout your love
That makes me weak and
Knocks me off my feet
Knocks me off my feet

3*(I don’t want to bore you with it
Oh but I love you, I love you, I love you)
Darling I don’t…

Part Of Your World

June 30th, 2006 by happee

Look at this stuff
Isn’t it neat?
Wouldn’t you think my collection’s complete?
Wouldn’t you think I’m the girl
The girl who has ev’rything?
Look at this trove
Treasures untold
How many wonders can one cavern hold?
Lookin’ around here you’d think
Sure
She’s got everything

I’ve got gadgets and gizmos aplenty
I’ve got whozits and whatzits galore
You want thingamabobs?
I got twenty
But who cares?
No big deal
I want more

I wanna be where the people are
I wanna see
Wanna see wanna see em dancin
Walkin’ around on those
Whad’ya call ‘em?
Oh - feet
Flippin’ your fins you don’t get too far
Legs are required for jumpin’, dancin’
Strollin’ along down the
What’s that word again?
Street
Up where they walk
Up where they run
Up where they stay all day in the sun
Wanderin’ free
Wish I could be
Part of that world

What would I give
If I could live
Outta these waters?
What would I pay
To spend a day
Warm on the sand?
Betcha on land
They understand
That they don’t reprimand their daughters
Bright young women
Sick o’ swimmin’
Ready to stand

And I’m ready to know what the people know
Ask ‘em my questions
And get some answers
What’s a fire and why does it
What’s the word? Burn?

When’s it my turn?
Wouldn’t I love
Love to explore that shore up above?
Out of the sea
Wish I could be
Part of that world

Out of the sea
Wish i could be
Part of the world
